First Choir
Wed, 6:30pm

The Choir has always been and continues to be the flagship entity of our music and worship ministry and we are so humbly honored to maintain this glorious tradition of choral excellence in worship! First Choir rehearses on Wednesdays and sings every Sunday in worship. There is no audition for this group so "let all sing who have a voice to raise!"

First Sound

First Sound is the new name for our combined instrumental group. We see in Psalm 150 a singular, characteristic mark of instruments used in worship: SOUND! "Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet" and "Praise Him with resounding cymbals." From trumpet to drums to guitars to tambourine, let us meet Him with resounding praise!

First Praise

If you are a gifted singer with an ear for harmony and a heart for worship, we would love to meet and discuss your availability for this group of frontline worship leaders. First Praise leads in our Sunday morning services. It is open by invitation only to current choir members so come get to know us in First Choir and extend your ministry into First Praise!

First Tech
As needed

Our tech team is the most important part of our worship ministry and is always looking for skilled individuals to assist in running the different operations of our sound booth. From audio to cameras to multimedia and livestream, we have a spot for you if you possess the knowhow and the commitment level for this responsibility.

First CREW
Sun, 4:30pm

C.R.E.W. means "Children Reaching Everyone in Worship" and is designed for junior worshipers, 1st through 6th grade. We use singing, instruments, games, and small group activities to have fun while learning new skills. The children present dramatic musicals each Christmas and spring and sing in the worship services on other occasions.

First Notes

We are so proud of our Preschool Choir! First Notes is open to enthusiastic, young worshipers aged 4-5 years old and meets on Sunday afternoons (during the school year) for games, fun, and LOTS of music! Our youngest musicians also present at Christmas and in May, as well as occasional other opportunities throughout the year.

What can I expect at First Worship?
Our worship service is a relaxed but intentional time of coming before God with our confessions and our praise.  The musicians of First Worship lead a blend of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs ranging from Fanny Crosby to Mav City and everything in between.  The choir presents an anthem every week and our pastor preaches an encouraging message from God's Word. 
How can I audition for First Choir?
What!? There are no auditions! If you love to worship and were born to sing, we are happy to welcome you into our music ministry! If you can find the choir room (located behind the sanctuary, accessible from the north or south hallways), then you pass the audition!  Come see us THIS Wednesday night!
How can I get involved with First Praise?
This group is filled by invitation only from within First Choir, which itself is non-auditioned. If you feel that you have the skills to be a part of this group, come join the choir and get your feet wet or contact Rief using the form below for more information. 
What expectations do the children's choirs have?
There are exactly zero expectations for these ensembles relevant to prior experience or auditions. There is also no fee to join! Bring a good attitude, a hard-working focus, and be ready to step out of your comfort zone on stage!

How do I audition for First Sound?
We like to say there is no audition for this ensemble, but we do ask for an individual understanding of your instrument. That being said, we take instrumentalists of all ages and if you have interest in playing with us, we would love to make music with you! 
How can I become a part of First Tech?
This group is always looking for talented people with skills or understanding of computers, lighting, and sound. If you think you have what it takes, contact Rief using the form below and let's get started! 
What opportunities do you have for students (6th-12th grade)?
Our students plan and lead their own midweek worship service every Wednesday night. Contact us to see how you can get involved. We also have zero age requirements on First Choir, Sound, or Praise. Do you have the skills to lead with these ensembles? Then come on! We've been waitin on you!
