Our Purpose

The purpose of the Women’s Enrichment Ministry is to grow in our relationships with God and each other through Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism.

Welcome

Women’s Enrichment Ministry (WEM) exists to provide opportunities for women to develop the *five purposes for which we were uniquely created:

Worship
Fellowship
Discipleship
Ministry
Evangelism

It is our desire that you will find ministries and activities outlined on this page in which you can serve or be served. Feel free to contact one of the WEM Team Members, Ministry Contacts, or the church office at 634-6262.

It is our delight to join with you in a spiritual journey. We pray that you will grow in love and knowledge of the Lord, discover your purposes in Him, and learn to walk in faith.

“I couldn’t stop thanking God for you–every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask–ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory–to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him–endless energy, boundless strength!”
(Ephesians 1:16-19)

Our ministries focus on the following five purposes for which we were created: *

Purpose #1 – You were planned for God’s pleasure.
- Our response is WORSHIP, loving God back.

Purpose #2 – You were formed for God’s family.
- Our response is FELLOWSHIP, loving and relating to God’s family.

Purpose #3 – You were created to become like Jesus.
- Our response is DISCIPLESHIP, developing our Christ- like character.

Purpose #4 – You are here to make a contribution.
- Our response is MINISTRY, serving believers.

Purpose #5 – You were made for a mission.
- Our response is EVANGELISM, serving and sharing the “Good News” with unbelievers.

Spiritual Intimacy

In a life often congested with counterfeit and superficial relationships, we can know and enjoy true intimacy with our Creator. By accepting the gift of His son, Jesus Christ, we can establish a love relationship with God—one that is personal and permanent. If you wish, you can begin this love relationship with God right now. Just talk to Him. He is listening. You can express your faith through a prayer similar to this:

Dear God,
I understand I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead, and I now accept His gift of eternal life. Thank You for forgiving my sins. Thank You for my new life. From this day on, I choose to follow You and Your will for my life and to know You intimately. Amen

If you begin a love relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, please let us know! Contact us at First Baptist Killeen (254-634-6262) to:

  • Visit with someone about this decision
  • Discuss baptism and church membership
  • Request guidance for the next steps of growth
  • Join a 9:30 AM LifeGroup

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
